Embracing Change: My Journey to a More Relaxed Life – Both my husband and mom noticed a change in me right away! Even three days into my new job, my husband mentioned that I seemed much more relaxed. It feels good. Weird, but good! This transformation was unexpected but very welcome.
I was so tired of the responsibility of needing days planned the night before. It was exhausting and left little room for spontaneity or relaxation. After teaching in the same position for 18 years, I was still putting a lot of work and dedication into planning. It was a never-ending cycle of preparation and stress.
Starting a new job brought an unexpected relief. The change in environment and routine has had a profound impact on my well-being. I no longer feel the pressure to have everything meticulously planned. This shift has allowed me to embrace a more relaxed and balanced lifestyle.
No matter what task I attach my name to, I give 110%. This commitment to excellence has always driven me, but it also contributed to my stress levels. Finding a position that values my dedication while allowing me to relax has been life-changing. My new team is thrilled to have me, and I feel equally enthusiastic about the future.
To all the teachers out there considering a change, stay tuned for Stacy’s message to #transitioningteachers – coming tomorrow! Her insights and experiences might just be the inspiration you need to take that next step.
