Embarrassing Moments and Honoring Heroes: A Personal Journey

The Date That Left Me Speechless

First dates can be nerve-wracking, but mine took an unforgettable turn. I confidently acted like I knew what a Tomb Guard at Arlington Cemetery was. Spoiler alert: I did not. 😳

Fast forward to today, and I’m still laughing about that moment—and feeling incredibly lucky. When I say I married up, I truly mean it!

Sharing His Story with the Next Generation

As a high school teacher, I had the privilege of bringing my husband’s incredible story to my classroom. He would join us on Zoom to share his experiences as an Honor Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

The students, typically "too cool for school," were captivated. They asked insightful questions, eager to learn about his service and dedication. These moments connected them to history in a way textbooks never could.

Working with Leaders Who Inspire

In my career, I’ve had the honor of designing resumes for some extraordinary individuals who serve our country. These leaders embody resilience, commitment, and selflessness.

While confidentiality prevents me from sharing details, the stories I’ve encountered are nothing short of inspiring. The sacrifices made by these service members are a daily reminder of what true dedication looks like.

A Heartfelt Thank You

To every individual who serves in the military, past and present: Thank you. Your sacrifices and dedication are deeply appreciated. You are heroes in every sense of the word.

I’ll always treasure the connections I’ve had with service members, whether through my husband’s stories or the resumes I’ve had the privilege to craft.

Stay Tuned for More

Tomorrow, I’ll be sharing one of my favorite success stories about a veteran who transitioned into a remarkable career. Trust me, you won’t want to miss it!

To all who serve and their families: You are my heroes. Thank you for everything you do. ❤️
